1Who we are

The AI Citation operates from Tane Georgiev 1, Kumanovo, North Macedonia. This policy covers theaicitation.com (the “Site”). For anything about your data, contact stefan@theaicitation.com.

2Information we collect

• Information you give us. When you book a call through our scheduling tool or email us, we receive your name, email address, any phone number or details you provide, and whatever you write to us.
• Booking information. Scheduling is handled by Calendly. When you book, Calendly processes the details you enter to set up the call and shares the booking with us.
• Technical and usage information. Loading the Site involves your browser talking to our host (Vercel) and to Google Fonts, which by their nature receive your IP address and basic browser information in order to deliver the page. With your consent, we also collect website usage analytics as described in Section 3. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell your data.

3Cookies, analytics, and local storage

The Site stores a single “theme” preference (light or dark) in your browser’s local storage so the Site remembers how you like it. That value stays on your device and is not sent to us.

We use analytics to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. These tools set cookies and similar identifiers on your device only after you accept them. When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Reject analytics, and analytics stays off until you choose Accept. We manage this with Google Consent Mode, and your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage. You can change your mind at any time by clearing that choice or by blocking and deleting cookies in your browser settings.

The analytics tools we use, only after you accept, are:

• Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (provided by Google). Google Analytics sets cookies (for example _ga and _ga_<id>) to measure page views, traffic sources, and actions such as booking a call, using a randomly generated identifier rather than your name. Google Tag Manager loads and manages these tags and does not set analytics cookies of its own. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all sites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Microsoft Clarity (provided by Microsoft). Clarity sets cookies (for example _clck and _clsk) to record aggregated, de-identified interactions such as clicks, scrolls, and session replays, which help us see where the Site is confusing. Clarity masks text you type by default, so form entries are not captured.

These providers process this data on our behalf. Google and Microsoft may also use it as described in their own privacy policies. If you open the Calendly scheduling window, Calendly may set its own cookies as described in its privacy policy.

Separately, we use Vercel Web Analytics (provided by Vercel, our host) to count page views and see which pages and referring sources bring visitors, in aggregate. This tool is privacy-first. It does not use cookies, it does not store anything on your device, and it does not build a profile of you or track you across other sites. Because it does not identify you and sets no cookies, it runs on every visit and does not require your consent. It is separate from the cookie-based analytics above, which stay off until you accept.

4How we use your information

We use your information to respond to you, schedule and hold our call, provide the free audit and any services you request, keep records, and comply with our legal obligations. If we work together, we use your business and contact details to deliver and support the work.

5Our legal bases (for visitors in the EEA and UK)

We rely on your consent when you contact us or book a call, on our legitimate interest in running and improving our business and responding to enquiries, and on the performance of a contract when we provide services to you.

6Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the Site and our business. These currently are Calendly (scheduling), Google Fonts (typography delivery), Vercel (hosting and privacy-first, cookieless web analytics), Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, used only with your consent), and Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity, used only with your consent). We share information with them only as needed to provide the Site, or where we are legally required to disclose it.

7International transfers

We operate from North Macedonia and use providers that may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

8How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as needed to respond to you and, if we work together, for the life of our relationship plus any period required for legal, tax, or record-keeping purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

9Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable form, and to withdraw consent. If you are in California, you may request access to or deletion of your information and are entitled not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights — and note that we do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email stefan@theaicitation.com and we will respond as required by law.

10Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11Children

The Site is for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
